BATTLE BUDDY PROGRAM - VETERAN QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Requirements:

Must be a disabled veteran with proof of service

Must have a documented disability that a service dog can assist with (physical, PTSD, etc.)

Must be able to physically and mentally care for a service dog

Must have stable housing that allows service dogs
Financial Requirements:
Must demonstrate ability to financially support ongoing dog care including:

Regular veterinary care
-
Monthly food and supplies
-
Emergency medical fund
-
Basic grooming needs Living
Situation Requirements:

Safe, stable housing environment
-
Landlord approval if renting
-
Appropriate space for a service dog
-
Supportive home environment
Commitment Requirements:

Must commit to completing the full 6-week training program
-
Ability to attend all required training sessions
-
Willingness to practice training exercises daily
-
Commitment to ongoing care and maintenance of the service dog

Agreement to follow service dog public access guidelines
-
Dedication to maintaining the dog's training standards
Documentation Needed:
-
DD-214 or military service records
-
Documentation of service-connected disability
-
Proof of residence
-
Two personal references
-
Veterinary reference (if currently own pets)

Evidence of financial ability
